Midweek Silent Preached Retreat for Women

May 17 - 19, 2022

 

Theme:   Meister Eckhart:  “Growing  Your God Seed”

Meister Eckhart, a German Dominican mystic of the 13th century, wrote and preached not only for his fellow monks, he also brought his mysticism to the common people through his vernacular sermons.

 

Eckhart gives practical advice and following one’s spiritual path and growing in intimacy with God. He tells us that God sinks God’s self into the essence of all things: “The seed of God is in us. Pear seeds grow into Pear trees, nut seeds grow into nut trees and God seeds into God.”

Retreat Schedule

Arrival/registration will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Orientation will be at 5:00 p.m. followed by the evening meal at 5:30 p.m.  

The retreat will be silent until the noon meal on Thursday, May 19, 2022

Departure will follow the noon meal.

Jennifer Christ is a spiritual director and writer. She is married, a mother, and a grandmother. Her book, A Deep Abiding Love, Pondering Life’s Depth with Julian of Norwich, is published by Twenty-Third Publication. Jennifer also writes for Living Faith, a Daily Catholic devotional.
