Midweek Silent Preached Retreat for Women
June 1 - 3, 2021
Theme: "Living in Joyful Hope"
The fullness of life that Jesus promises us encompasses both joy and sorrow. He also told us that the pain and sorrow are temporary, but the joy will last for all eternity. How do we live into this message of Jesus? How do we practice joy, the enfleshment of hope, in the midst of the pain and suffering of our divine/human journey?
How have we been fashioned by times of trial? What have we learned? How do we continue to choose joy in an uncertain world?
We will examine several elements of joyful living including: presence, creativity, the necessity of grieving, acceptance, celebration, and gratitude. “I came that they would have life and have it to the full.” (John 10:10)
