OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE AND ACTION PLAN

Welcome!  We are looking forward to having you with us in the near future. To make your stay more pleasant, safe, and worry-free we have made some changes here at the retreat center in light of the co-vid 19 pandemic and the Center for Disease Control guidelines for dealing with such. We want you to know that your safety as well as the safety of our other guests and our staff members are foremost in our mind. We hope that as you experience these safety measures you will appreciate that they are made for the good of all.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY

ONLY PERSONS THAT CAN CONFIRM THAT THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS SHOULD ENTER THE RETREAT CENTER:

  1. I have not traveled across any restricted international borders, or have travelled in restricted zones, as dictated by regional or country legislation, within the past 15 days.

  2. I have not been in physical or close contact, i.e. 6 ft, with anyone whom I believe may be infected or has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

  3. I have not experienced any of the following in the past 15 days:

    • Fever or chills

    • Cough

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

    • Fatigue

    • Muscle or body aches

    • Headaches

    • New loss of taste or smell

    • Sore throat

    • Congestion or runny nose

    • Nausea or vomiting

    • Diarrhea

PLANNING FOR YOUR VISIT
  1. Please come with a mask that you will wear when in the presence of others.  Exceptions to this would be, of course, when you are outside, in your private bedroom, eating, or when you receive Holy Communion at Mass. If you forget your mask or if you don’t have one, a mask can be purchased at the retreat center.

  2. Please practice “social distancing” from the person closest to you of at least six feet whenever possible.

  3. We want to simplify the registration process so that when you arrive you do not have to remain in your car or wait an inordinate amount of time to be helped.  To that end, you are asked before you arrive to either call in or email to us the name of your emergency contact person and their telephone number. We are also encouraged, if you are able, to pay before arriving any outstanding balance you may have for the retreat.

  4. If you are staying overnight you may wish to bring your own pillow and even a blanket.  While we have pillows and blankets on the beds, you may feel more comfortable sleeping on your own.  For now we are removing the bedspreads from the beds.

  5. While we have plenty of hand sanitizer available you may wish to bring your own little bottle as well.

  6. Upon your arrival you will be given further information as to the changes being made at meals, sitting in chapel or in the conference room and other public areas.  While minimal, they are common sense measures we hope will help you to have a safe and enjoyable stay with us.
