So, Brother Lawrence teaches us that holiness does not depend on doing other things, or doing great things, but simply in doing all the normal things of our daily life for the love of God. His was the prayer of a simple working person, rooted and shaped by the necessities of his day. He tells us "Thoughts count for little. Love does everything." We will explore Brother Lawrence's practice of consciously staying in God's presence while going about the ordinary stuff of our daily lives.
